Barbara Ann Radnofsky:No Doubt

BAR FilingBarbara Ann was the first Democrat in the state to file at TDP headquarters on the first day of filing.  She is committed to the race and determined to win.  After filing, BAR held a press conference that gained much coverage with 5 television stations, Associated Press, statewide radio, and major newspapers from around the state.  Let Barbara Ann know that you are excited about her candidacy in 2010.  Each dollar adds up – Donate today.

We were pleased by the coverage and encouraged by further reports of chaos in the Republican party proving Texas GOP disarray. Statements from Senator Hutchison that she will leave the Senate continue. Emphasizing her intentions to leave, Sen. Hutchison reaffirmed when asked on December 7, 2009, “I will leave the Senate. There is no doubt about that.”  On December 10, 2009, the Waco Tribune-Herald reported, “Hutchison, who is facing Gov. Rick Perry in a Republican primary, has said she’s leaving the Senate whether or not she wins the governor’s race.”

Endorsements for various Republicans vying for the U.S. Senate seat continue to be reported. Insiders and published experts predict that the real Republican nominee for the AG race won’t appear until long after March 2010. BAR Press ConferenceSince we remain uncertain of our opponent, we will need to conduct extensive opposition research.  We set a goal to raise $25,000 by December 31 to fund our research efforts.   Your donation of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50, or $25 will be key to reaching our goal.

One party domination of statewide offices harms Texas. Our statewide leaders aren’t fighting for us; they are fighting for themselves.  It’s no secret that the current AG has been camped out in his seat for two terms waiting for a promotion. Distracted by political ambition, the Attorney General has failed to serve the people.

Texans are frustrated by elected leaders who fail to uphold their duty to serve the people.  They are ready for a new leader.  They are ready to vote for the 1st woman AG.  They are ready to know more about Barbara Ann.

In addition to supporting our opposition research efforts, your donation will help us make a clear statement about the strength of the campaign.  Please donate to our key December 31st deadline to report donations. Solid strategy, great support, and exciting polling hold great promise. The race is winnable and we’re counting on your support to make it happen.
