Let’s back this train up and put some clarity on the subject.

Yes, it’s true that Obama has requested and received obscene amounts of money, however, let’s not forget the money for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, would never have been needed if Bush had spent funds on infrastructure, domestic issues; like states screaming for financial help for the past three + years, and regulations. Further let us also not forget that Bush signed every spending bill the GOP Congress sent him. Bush ran up a $1.3 trillion deficit — the largest in our nation’s history.

Hey Wil Robinson, I suggest you take a look at the numbers. Clinton started to have surpluses AFTER the GOP took control of the House. You must surely know that all spending starts in the House and Presidents can only spend what they are given. Unfortunately, John Kasich, House Budget Chairman and Dick Army, Majority Leader, left the House and the GOP went on a spending spree when Bush was elected. So much for “compassionate conservatism.” It is precisely because of Bush’s spending and spendthrift MOC like Tom DeLay that grassroots Republicans sat on their hands these past few years. After all, if they wanted to elect big-spending corrupt politicians that use their own office for personal gain, they could vote Democrat.

Both parties spend, and both parties are equally to blame for the national debt. The real issue is what they spend on. If they were spending, even in deficit, and investing that money in things we truly need. Then that would be one thing. What we don’t need to be spending any more money on is the waste fraud and abuse laden military budget and corpoRATe welfare bailouts.

Alas, the present failed admin is gonna spend on both those disasters, just like the last admin did. There is no “hope” for “change” from statusquobama, but:

If progressive third parties and progressive independent candidates run for and win even a handful of congressional seats in 2010. That will set the political landscape ablaze and cause a progressive wildfire to be set that would burn the two parties of the apocalypse but good come the 2012 election!

Indeed, a Republican administration named George H.W. Bush and for Obama George W. Bush. This should be a warning to never put another Bush in the White House.

I think the talking heads are too lazy to actually do their research before they open their mouths.

The think that’s been sticking out to me is that Clinton came in in 92 and proceeded to reduce the deficit – a deficit incurred by republican administrations.

Now Obama is coming in with a huge deficit…and says he can reduce it by half in 4 years. Whether he can or not remains to be seen, but…

Yes the filthy repubs get most of the blame for the recent run up in the national debt, but the dirty dem controlled house and senate has kept up the deficit spending over the last 2 years and show no sign of any real change. The last budget the dirty dem controlled house and senate contained the largest pentagon budget in history, as well as trillions in corpoRATe welfare bailout giveaways. The filthy repubs are out of power, but the dirty dems are doing the same things the filthy repubs did!

Worried about the deficit? Fear not, the neolib klinton klan hillbillies are meeting with the blew dogs to discuss “entitlement reform” in order to “reduce the deficit.” That means cuts to social spending boys and girls. Behold, as obamessiah attempts to balance the federal budget on the backs of the old, infirm, and poor!

Yes, tax cuts and cuts to social spending are the neolib way. Didn’t ronnie raygun do and say the same things? Didn’t work for raygun, ain’t gonna work for obamessiah!
