Bush wondered aloud, “How did we get here?”
The New York Times front page series “
The Reckoning: Ownership Society
Articles in this series are exploring the causes of the financial crisis.”
Mr. Bush dismissed warnings from people inside and outside the White House that housing prices were inflated and that a foreclosure crisis was looming. And when the economy deteriorated, Mr. Bush and his team misdiagnosed the reasons and scope of the downturn; as recently as February, for example, Mr. Bush was still calling it a “rough patch.”
This NYTimes series is very enlightening about how the American Titanic got to meet the iceburg. The insatiable, profiteering attitude and avaricious behavior of the ‘aristocratic’ Republican Overlords. (The social structure of the Middle Ages was organized round the system of Feudalism). You will see the frantic manipulations of a president who realizes his “Legacy” will be so much less than he counted on. His American Vassals are on to his scheme. His pitiful efforts to whitewash the American and Global disaster he created are useless. Throwing his corporate dogs his last handful of bones is criminal (ooops, wrong analogy, back to the Titanic). The few leaky liferafts available on our Titanic are being issued to elitist corporations. Example:
Final show of strength from lame-duck president
FOR a supposedly lame-duck president, George Bush has been awfully busy in recent weeks. Or rather, his administration has been working overtime, on a controversial slate of rules that will retain the force of law long after he leaves office. Today is the deadline to ensure that they take effect before Barack Obama is sworn in.
Who’s Bush working for? Changing rules at last minute
Conscience clause and relaxed environmental regs among Bush’s lame-duck rulings
A Rundown of Bush’s Terrible Last Minute Regulations
Bush sneaks through host of laws to undermine Obama
The lame-duck Republican team is rushing through radical measures, from coal waste dumping to power stations in national parks, that will take months to overturn.
President Bush overdoes it with his midnight rule changes in the midst of recession
Obama Team Watches Bush’s Final Days

Bush issues a headliner band aide to the American Auto Industry hoping to stall the full impact of the iceburg he crashed us in to at warp speed. This pitiful gesture can be used by us, the victims, to cringe and take a defensive posture before the icy waters swallow our dreams. My Republican friends voices change as the cold water rises above their knees. Republicans, too, are becoming jobless, and faced with merciless reality. Those humanitarian government agencies, that were so degraded and reduced by Republican judgmentalism, are now being grabbed for as their last lifeline. Surprise. The funding for these agencies is almost backrupt by misappropriation of taxpayer dollars. In this new world, pulling the plug on your own lifeboat by choosing war, is the stupidest lesson we could ever have to re-learn. Unless the elite are seeking to re-locate to another country more compatible with their view of society. To all those with a medieval view of inhuman society, I suggest they move to Zimbabwe or better yet, Darfur.

A very happy holiday to you and NYTex. And we apologize for having to send back the defective Texan to Dallas, but it’s the only way we can get any peace.

Thanks Kevin, don’t worry, many Texans see this “CarpetBagger” family for what they are. Dallas is grudgingly accepting the return of the pretender in chief. My preference for these parasites is Zimbabwe.
Lesson learned is, even Presidents must see psychiatrists. Denial is a plague.
Holding my nose, squinting my eyes, the impact of accepting the consequences of sharing a state with Buuush, is like sharing my bathroom with scorpions.
BTW, I don’t kill scorpions, I capture them in a jar and relocate them into the forest, where they belong. Thus, Zimbabwe is where Buuush belongs, if I ever capture him.

“How did we get here”?
In this one statement, Bush summed up the ENTIRE 8 YEARS of his administration.
