Now It’s John Edwards Fault
Today Howard Wolfson told ABC
Sen. Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic presidential nominee if John Edwards had been caught in his lie about an extramarital affair and forced out of the race last year, insists a top Clinton campaign aide, making a charge that could exacerbate previously existing tensions between the camps of Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama.
“I believe we would have won Iowa, and Clinton today would therefore have been the nominee,” former Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson told ABCNews.com
I fail to see the logic in this math, Obama came in first, Edwards came in second and Hillary came in third in Iowa. Even if Edwards 15 delegates were split between the two, Obama still wins Iowa. So unless your using Karl Roves math, Hillary would have come in second.
Oh wait Wolfson added this gem;
“Our voters and Edwards’ voters were the same people,” Wolfson said the Clinton polls showed. “They were older, pro-union. Not all, but maybe two-thirds of them would have been for us and we would have barely beaten Obama.”
FALSE:
Most of Edwards supporters and major donors went to Obama. Even one of Hillary’s major donor moved to Obama. Must be that Rove logic again.
So there you have it, the continuing list of “it’s everyones fault.” We still have time before the Democratic Convention and the general election so I’m sure Hillary and the gang will dig up someone else to blame. Hell let’s just blame it all on Putin.
