Texas County Democratic Conventions
- You can see all Texas County Convention results as they come in at Burnt Orange Report. They will be reporting the results of this weekend’s county and senate district conventions. BOR will be partnering with the campaigns of both Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barack Obama – with the support of the Texas Democratic Party, countless county and local party leaders – to provide you the most accurate, up-to-date vote totals of this weekend’s extraordinary process.
Many who don’t live in Texas believe that we are a Bible thumping Evangelical waste land occupied by knuckle dragger’s who think George Bush is the all mighty. Well, that’s what Karl Rove, Tom DeLay and the gang sold you and you believed it. As you can see with the resolutions my county will be voting on tomorrow, Texans are far more progressive and in November we will be blue.
All of the resolutions from my county are listed below. Some are worth noting: repealing the 32nd Amendment to the Texas Constitution banning gay marriage; Pressure on China with regards to Tibet; Only pure science in public schools; Repeal Bible classes in public high schools; and of course impeaching George and Dick. That’s a “just because”.
Resolutions discussed, considered and adopted, with or without revisions/amendments, by the Committee.

The Texans I have encountered personally I have always been found to be gracious, good people.
However, I’ve worked for them. Twice. And they screwed me over both times. And of course, the politicians they put out are worse than any oil spill.

JR:
Sorry to hear that. I bet those you worked with were from the GOP gene pool.
This time Texas democrats have a chance to turn the state blue and kick John Cornyn out of Congress. Maybe then you can work for gracious good Texans.
