Bill Richardson To Endorse Obama
“I believe he is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime leader that can bring our nation together and restore America’s moral leadership in the world,” Richardson said in a statement obtained by the AP. “As a presidential candidate, I know full well Sen. Obama’s unique moral ability to inspire the American people to confront our urgent challenges at home and abroad in a spirit of bipartisanship and reconciliation.”
Richardson’s endorsement also could help Obama pick up support among Hispanics, who are the nation’s largest and fastest-growing minority.
In an e-mail to supporters, Richardson said Obama will be a “historic and a great President, who can bring us the change we so desperately need by bringing us together as a nation here at home and with our allies abroad.”
Richardson also said in the e-mail that he was touched by Obama’s recent speech on race in America, saying he “understands clearly that only by bringing people together, only by bridging our differences can we all succeed together as Americans.”

It’s about time Bill..!! People need to get their heads out of their butts and realize Hillary is one of the most polarizing figures in politics today and will never be able to bridge the gap between races, sexes, the wealthy and the poor. Her kitchen sink tactics are exactly what Barack is trying to change and will do nothing but divide the country further in the trenches. C’mon people, smarten up and quit falling for CNN’s and other news trash when they can’t find any other good story to publish. There’s a lot of good going on, but does CNN report it? No way, they have to blast us with as much negativity as possible. Go Barack, we so desperately need you!

I agree! Hillary is behind all these stunts to screw Obama over. She has kept quiet and now the pictures have surfaced with Bill Clinton in a photo at the White House with Rev. Wright. I was wondering why Hillary was silent throughout this whole shake-up. She didn’t want any attention knowing that her and Bill are also friends with the man.

As a former Richardson supporter, I am glad that the man I saw as best qualified to be president has taken a stand with Obama. It is time to end the bigotry of the Clinton campaign. I know bigotry when I see it, having grown up with its shame in the Depression era Mississippi. We have come a long way, but these attacks show how far we have to go. I loved Mike Huckabee’s take on Obama’s response and was greatly pleased that he had the decency to speak out for Rev. Wright as well. Mike Huckabee has a good heart. America can defeat the divisory politics of the convenntional p;oliticians. And by doing so, we can prove to the nations that we intend to live up to our ideals.
Another great American has now taken his stand. I’m still proud of you, Bill Richardson!

Great endorsement for Obama, although it is a little late in the game. I can understand the politics behind B. Richardson’s delay, but come on now. Do you need to wait nearly 2 months before endorsing another candidate?
In any case the move is not that shocking, Obama just continues to snow ball his support from all angles. Just looking at his grassroots support, http://www.spartaninternet.com/ , the Internet strategy that he has been using is unparalleled. Of course the new polls contradict this, but we will see the ultimate outcome soon. If I was a betting man, I would put my money on Barack!

Bill is biting the finger that fed him. Interesting. I wonder if he is thinking that he will be picked for VP position. That is not going to happen. I also woder what he will do if Hillary wins.
Too bad.

Bill Richardson is only looking to be the VP with Obama. This is an outrage and in light of the Rev. Wrights statements what is he thinking. The nation is outraged by his spiritual leaders comments

As a “typical white person” I just view it as two racists joining forces.

While I don’t agree with Rev. Wright, however, I find it interesting that the public doesn’t find the same outrage with GOP politicians when their right wing hate spewing ministers lash out at society world wide.
It would be more appropriate if the outrage was focused on the mingling of minister, politicians and policy.
