Clinton’s Health Care: Garnish Wages
It’s very disturbing to me, that someone living pay check to paycheck would have their check garnished in order to have health care insurance. Hillary Clinton has announced that her universal health care plan which is suppose to cover everyone, actually means you don’t have a choice because your pay check will be garnished. This is how
Again, Hillary Clinton will say what she needs to get the votes. She has touted health care for everyone however, the small print has your wages garnished. This is a health care plan that helps
“I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”
Talk about something for the GOP nominee to sink their teeth into; “Hillary Clinton’s universal health care plan is a government forced program at the financial detriment of minimum wage Americans.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to have workers’ wages garnisheed if they refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.
- The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed during a television interview, she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”
- Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms. Under her plan, she said, health care “will be affordable for everyone” because she would limit premium payments “to a low percent of your income.”
To me, saying that the people who would be garnished are “workers who can afford insurance” should already have minimum insurance. This statement is just a Clinton smoke screen. Again, we will have no control of, or full knowledge of, the entire plan until it’s too late. Geez, that sounds like George Bush. .

Let me guess. You don’t like Hillary?
eerr ..lets see, garnish wages, like a tax but its not, hmm why not a flat fee for a universial single payer plan..I can think of a dozen ways to do this and i have 17 brain cells…the goal of mrs Clinton seems to be to leave the insurance carpet baggers and murderers UNDISTISTURBED..that is the only outcome of a heinous idea like this…but wait we are talking about the insurance companies..”girl” she even said so herself…”I’m your girl” she wasn’t talking to we the people she WAS FREAKING TELAGRAPHING to the ONE BUSINESS PARTY .
I truly feel sorry for anyone who voted early …I look forward to making history tomarrow casting my vote for OBAMA. No he is not perfect, but he is new, and he has a lot going for him..no younger than more than a few of america’s better presidents and more than ready for the JOB.
Its not about not Hillary , at least not for me. Its all about the policies, the machine, the status quo YES, and the idea of a dynasty. Its about watching the campaigning style..my decision is based on all the information i can get my hands on from reliable sources..And frankly if the past is any indicator , the thought of four more yrs of clinton bashing , even if she did try to do good….is enough to make me LORCH.
John Cobarruvias:
I am not a fan of Hillary but I will vote for the democratic nominee. With that said it doesn’t change the fact that Hillary’s health care plan will garnish someones wages to make her plan complete. That’s what I don’t like.
ProudP:
For me its is about “us” which I don’t get from Hillary. I am ready for change and a smack down to the old guard. The revolving door on the 2 family White House has to come to a stop for us to really see change.
An absolute outrage. It’s my right to decide whether I choose to purchase health care or not. It’s my body, my money, and it used to be a free country.
KirK M:
I fully agree. Garnishing wages does not sound like a fair universal health care plan it sounds more like government control of my pay check.
Bottom Line:
It looks like you got some vote fraud hanky-panky, and selling of votes going on in the democratic caucuses. Obama seems to be doing disproportionately well in the caucuses where it is easier to commit vote fraud, and sell votes. Obama has not been doing as well in the non caucus primary’s where you can’t cheat the vote as easily.
I smell a pole cat. I smell the Karl Rove vote fraud machine at work. This looks like past presidential elections where most voters leaving the poles said they voted for the other guy. But Bush still won. No wonder Obama thinks the republicans have some good ideas. Apparently a lot of republicans are voting for Obama in the democratic caucuses.
The insurance companies, and medical industry that have been ripping you off, and killing you are determined to keep you, the American people from having good universal health care. So it seems they are supporting Obama. Along with the republican vote fraud machine.
This looks like a great story for a team of aggressive investigative reporters. Or maybe some good documentary film makers like Michael Moore, or Oliver Stone.
If I were the Clinton’s, I would focus like a laser bean on what has been going on in the democratic caucuses. No wonder the Republicans like Obama so much. Looks like he’s their man in the democratic caucuses. http://prorev.com/2008/02/in-search-of-obama.html
I’m absolutely convinced now that Hillary Clinton is your best choice for good universal health care coverage. And HR 676 (Medicare For All). “Single payer, Tax Supported, Not For Profit, True Universal Health Care” free for all as a right. Like every other developed country in the world has. See: http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676.htm
“HR 676:
For church goers: less money to insur. companies and more to the church- lots more.
Srs on Medicare: save way over $100/wk. Because no more medigap, long term care & dental insur. needed. No more drug bills.”
They really think you are all stupid, inattentive cash cows… It may be time to bring back Bad Bill, Good Bill.
THIS IS PROPGANDA.
HILLARY CLINTON HAS ONLY SPOKEN OF GARNISHING WAGES OF PEOPLE WHO MAKE HIGH ENOUGH SALARIES TO AFFORD HEALTHCARE INSURANCE BUT DO NOT PURCHASE IT.
PEOPLE WHO CANNOT AFFORD HEALTHCARE WILL BE GIVEN EXEMPTION.
IF BARACK OBAMA SAYS “UHHH” ONE MORE TIME I THINK I WILL SCREAM!!!!! PUT THE DAMN FINGER DOWN, OBAMA!!!!!
WhoCares:
Thank you for shouting!
This plan just gives a GIGANTIC windfall to HMOs at the expense of working folks.
HMOs are the primary vehicle of Class Genocide.
This will INSURE that entrenched Corporate Interests will be able to forestall Single Payer Health Insurance indefinitely.
Obama is realistic and like Howard Dean, has the right idea. If we can storm the citadel of corruption in DC… we may have some hope of restoring Representative Government and getting policy that makes sense some day.
But NOT if we elect HRC. Then, it’s all over but the crying.
SeattleDan:
You are right on point. HRC’s plan is a corporate dream. The plan is not for us and it is not realistic.
