Clinton Hypocracy: No Child Left Behind
We all know that No Child Left Behind has turned into another Bush disaster, however; Bill Clinton’s dishonest, misleading statement is typical politics for the old guard. Bill should have a least acknowledge Hillary’s support for the bill. On
On the Senator’s web site Hillary Clinton states:
Throughout my career, I have fought to raise education standards in our nation’s schools. I believe that every child should be taught by a qualified teacher and that schools should be accountable to the parents of the children they serve. That is why I supported the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001 and continue to believe in the principles behind the landmark law. When the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) was enacted, I viewed it as a historic promise between the federal government and educators — schools would be held to higher standards than ever before and the government would make a record investment in those schools to ensure that they would be able to meet the new expectations confronting them.
I guess Bill should have checked that out before making these statements in Arizona:
“I want you to think about this, and I have to say, this was a train wreck that was not intended. No Child Left Behind was supported by George Bush and Senator Ted Kennedy and everybody in between. Why? Because they didn’t talk to enough teachers before they did that,” Clinton said yesterday at Arizona State University
So, is Bill implying that Hillary was part of the train wreck? Hillary lacked due diligence by not talking to teachers? Is Bill also implying that Hillary signed off and supported a bill that she did not even read?
Once again, Bill Clinton’s disingenuous and misleading stump speech tries to cast Hillary in a better light. I’m sure the “everybody in between” Senators are very pleased with Bill. For Bill and Hillary Clinton it’s all about the delegates and the “game” of politics. The truth and facts? Well, that’s just an inconvenient truth.

I think it is true that Ted didn’t talk to any teachers; Bush may have talked to one, or at least a former one, Laura. Hillary talk to a teacher? Not likely either.
The only thing near to teachers that were consulted were the big teacher unions. Education has never been much of a priority with the NEA, just more money and security for the substandard members. A prime example is the highly unionized New York City Public School system.
The entire NCLB is a farce of the greatest magnitude.

You know I high doubt anyone in Congress discusses any bill with the people that it will effect. I just think Bill could at least make things clear and not mislead people about Hillary’s stand while he smacks down someone else.
