Pop Quiz: What To Do With That $300 Or Is It $600

100_dollars.jpgHearing all the news about the Economic Stimulus package and the likelihood of many Taxpayers and Non-taxpayers receiving $300 to $600, maybe more. My dreams collide with one another, about how to handle that money. I am so torn. Cats must be neutered, bills must be paid, and I really want a new computer. Tossed between ‘wanna’ and ‘hafta’. Please tell me what you’re planning to do with your check.

If I get $600 from this creepazoid administration, I intend to do the following:

    1. pay-off a Visa with a balance from my dog’s last teeth cleaning which is about $350
    2. donate the remaining $250 to the Obama 2008 campaign

i would have to pay on bills i already owe, utilities, heat, rent, a sm credit card and mind you that would only be a bit to the bigger ones just ot avoid collections. I do NOT want this money. There would be no extra left, if theoretically there was, i would buy food staples. STAPLES for the freezer and bulk items to make cheap meals. The last thing i would do is go out and buy a consumer item…though i could use more than a few “goodies” like computer cables, or even a digital or web cam. Oh an my TV is dying..and when it does ..i really may consider an upgrade on the computer dsl – to see the media i enjoy there.

all that being said – i would donate any extra to any local business trying to start a worker owned FOOD CO OP.

Looking at the stack of medical bills I am frantically trying to pay down, ……. a drop in the bucket, hmmm. No options available, really. Somehow, I just don’t see $300, $600, or whatever it comes to as fixing the underlying economy problem the nation faces. It feels much akin to throwing a bandaid upon a torn artery and hoping for the best result; naive and unrealistic.

Pelsoi and Bush have no concept of how the middle class is surviving. The money is a joke and not worth the expense it will cost to get the checks out.

Here’s how the whole dumb plan works out:
Bush borrows from China to give us money so we can go buy junk made on China.

Obviously we have more sense than Bush since most will pay down some debt instead of being the good consumers.

I’ll level up my electric bill. I’m afraid there won’t be much “stimulus” from me.
