Republicans and Democrats Really Debate In New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Republican debate, on ABC, was a sleeper. The only fun was when McCain and Romney took the gloves off about immigration … the best interrupter was Giuliani. Someone had to poke Thompson to answer his questions … I swear he was napping. He sounded like I do when I just wake up and have no coffee yet. The truly exciting candidate was Ron Paul. I love his philosophy on a cerebral level. But, practical application of his ideas remind me of the horrid moments when I learned to drive a stick shift. I picture
The Democratic Debate that followed was much more interesting, because, one of these people will be the next president. Why does
Hillary is also a broken record. Everything is Bush’s fault.
Edwards sounds very good responding to the “what if” question about the day after a terrorist nuclear event in
The Obama, Clinton one on one dialog that ABC set up did not create the sparks that it did for the republicans. The health care answers were good, the discussion about change was great. The battle is between status quo and change. The Democrats don’t sound like they will strip the gears, but they may break the clutch.
Edwards appears more compatible with Obama when it comes to bringing voices together and “enlist the American people is the process” of governing. They sound credible when it comes to government transparency. Hillary looked apoplectic when she defended her positions “for change” responding to Obama. Charlie Gibson was very pointed about the Iraq Question. Hillary was more credible when describing the
Hillary’s “reality break” was a little pushy. She is reminding everyone that what she has done makes her an agent of change. Charlie Gibson opened the can of worms when he pointed out that “every presidential candidate has said they would change
Hillary said the “R” word and recovered a little when she addressed energy and oil prices.
The Democrats ended on a positive note after all. They were all great, but I am so tired of hearing Richardson’s resume (I can’t picture how he would begin a State of the Union Address).
What I did NOT hear is how any presidential candidates would deal with the BushCo private armies.
Year-end candidate fund raising reports are due to the Federal Election Commission by Jan. 31 … but, there is no longer a Federal Election Commission, is there.

I am also sick of hearing Richardson and Hillary talk about all they supposedly done, then act like they want change.
Edwards sounded good, especially defending Obama against Hillary’s pointless attacks, and also talking about jobs and the economy.
Obama looked confident and that to me made Hillary look archaic.

The only good thing Richards said was pointing out that Kennedy was 42 when he was president. Hopefully that will put the “Obama too Young” crap to rest. However, Richardson is a very tired song. His resume is worn out and he never answer the questions. He is just as boring and the republicans.
Speaking of Republicans, Hillary needs to get the heck out of the way, she is no change agent. 35 years of change BS. I guess her experience as First Lady didn’t go over big so now we are going back to Arkansas First Lady. Hillary and Bill R. should get a job as resume builders.
Edwards was excellent on making his points and backing Obama up on change. I am getting the impression that the Obama and Edwards are looking at sharing the democratic ticket.
Your right about Obama looking confident and was never bothered by Hillary. I do like that he backed Edwards up several times.

Larry, There must be some kind of marketing strategy that trains candidates to preface every answer they give with their qualifications. I truly believe that Richardson has taken it way too far.
The next time I hear “I was Secretary of …” or “I negotiated with …” or “my 6 years in …” or “as Governor of….”
I swear! I’ll turn the damn TV off. Please put this man back into his little box and FedEx it back to New Mexico.

If Richardson stopped talking about his resume he would have nothing to say. I like that idea!
