Turkey Says We Did, US Says We Didn’t
The Turkish military earlier said the US had given tacit approval by opening Iraqi airspace for the operation.
Iraqi officials said the bombs hit 10 villages near the border, killing one woman. The PKK reported seven deaths.
Iraq later summoned the Turkish ambassador and demanded a halt to the strikes, saying they were unacceptable and could seriously harm relations between the two countries.
Oooops. Have we been caught in another lie? How do we save face with the Iraq we’ve already destroyed and presume to protect? US and its financiers have a lot of money to recoup, so why not expand the war? The Kurds have been touted as the most untouched part of Iraq, US has weighed the advantages of a Turkish ally versus a Kurdish ally. The scales tip to Turkey, of course. US underhanded deals have become commonplace and almost humorous if it did not cause more death and destruction. The US Empire has become the obnoxious black sheep of the modern world. International extortion can only go so far before retaliation escalates. Unfortunately, as with all wars, the common people are the ones who suffer and die when heads of state piss each other off.
