Shameful Conflict of Interest Hits Texas Democrat
TX Representative Harold Dutton “didn’t want her to have one nickel”
A Harris County family court has awarded the ex-wife of state Rep. Harold Dutton Jr. nearly $16,000, finding the state legislator was in arrears on court-ordered child support payments. Dutton, an attorney, also was ordered to pay an additional $8,000 in legal fees to his former wife’s lawyer in the ruling issued Friday by Associate Judge Conrad Moren.
Dutton is chairman of the House Committee on Juvenile Justice and Family Issues, which occasionally oversees child support issues and other civil law matters relating to families.
In court documents earlier this year, Faykus-Dutton accused her ex-husband of introducing several legislative amendments that would personally benefit him in matters before the family court deciding his case.
Duped Dads Child Support Bill Not Without Controversy!
State Representative Harold Dutton recently introduced House Bill 774, which would add DNA tests to Texas divorce courts. While current Texas law presumes that a child born during a marriage is a child of the marriage, this TX child support legislation would not allow courts to make a father pay child support payments of more than $100 upon recognition of several conditions:
- if he learns through genetic testing that he is not the biological father;
- if the mother knows of this fact, and yet signs an acknowledgement of his paternity and initiates an arbitration proceeding for child support while the father still believes he is the father.

Texas Crooks cross party lines. No one is pure, for sure. Texas does not have the corner on the crooked politician market, but we sure come in a close second behind Washington DC. History shows, temptation to skim a little personal gain from the power given by voters, must be huge. That’s why we have ETHICS LAWS. This is evident from politicians to preachers. Will we hear all the rhetoric about how the press has blown this out of proportion? Or, will we hear that this is just a family issue and has nothing to do with the public trust. Dutton has 22 years in the Texas Congress to learn the ropes and decide he has risen above the law. He has learned a lot from the Republicans he works with. Child support is a very sensitive issue these days. Taking responsibility for ones actions has been lost on today’s American. You make babies, you take care of them, or, give them over to someone who will. Then you pay for the prividge of someone else doing that job for you. It’s that simple. But, no. Personal conflicts between parents leave the child as the looser. The child is a pawn. Not only is support at stake, but the child will feel guilt. Ask any child psychologist.
Representative Dutton should be very aware of the bottom line. He is an attorney, he is Chairman of the Juvenile Justice Committee. These are his sons that he plays a serious game with. This is not a political party issue. This a man who has fallen from grace. He cannot connect that his behavior puts others at risk. Is the first time he has driven drunk, or just the first time he’s been caught?

So the ex-wife lies and for some reason Dutton is wrong by attempting to pass laws that protect innocent men for disgusting women?
What law has he tried to pass that is not protecting an innocent person?
or is it that you believe that as long as a child benefits financially, even at the
expense of an innocent man it’s ok?
