Blogs Speak Out For John Edwards
Mirth of Liberally Mirth in a post The Primaries ponders the democratic choices and gives resounding reason why Edwards should be the nominee.
ProudProgressive of Some Note On Living has a great post with video informing us on the Manufactured Elections/ Edwards could BE real Front Runner
Jill of Brilliant At Breakfast states in her post “How about ‘tell the truth’ mode?” The media are at best calling this a two-person race between Hillary and the faltering Obama, and at worst calling the primary season over before a single vote is cast, John Edwards is out there telling the voters that THEY, not the media, should have the voice.
CityMama at MOMocrats had a brief encounter with a women and their conversation went like this: “I’m with you.” Said the lady who passed my car at the bank today. She noticed my “John Edwards 08″ bumper sticker. “I wish more people felt that way,” I called after her. She was on her way to her own car, but paused then came back to talk with me. “I don’t know why more people don’t!” she added. “You know, that Hillary machine isn’t unstoppable. I think as time goes on more people are going to sit up and take notice of what John Edwards is saying.”
Todd at The Blue State points out in his post If Democrats vote on issues, Edwards wins. John Edwards is generating a lot of substance — even more than all the other candidates.
desmoinesdem at DailyKos explores how How John Edwards would help the middle class (part 1)
David Minzer at MyDD details in his diary What Edwards is About, how Edwards has brought the most attention to growing social and economic inequality in the United States.

This blog and others will do everything we can to Edwards nominated.
The idea of Clinton being the nomination is repulsive and it will keep us on the Bush path of destruction.
Help us spread the word.

me i am a green. and my state does not allow participation in the primaries unless you are one of the two ONE business party members. So i had to literally switch back to dem for this elections primaries. I like Kucinich …i want the country to take a huge U TURN – but thats is not the way it works here..It just doesn’t. We have fraud in vote counting..we have a constitution in shreds and we have a NEO liberal pushed down our throats thanks to a ton of corporate money ..I have been so distraught over this that i contemplated not voting at all – not enabling any of them or the system..BUT thinking it over and over – and with the news of the Cali straw poll – there is a light there…NO Edwards is NOT perfect …hardly BUT – if he can save the country from a dynasty of bush clinton bush clinton..i gotta to try to make that happen. Once again we have to go with who is “electable” and we have to combat the MSM pushing us, brainwashing us with their spurious polls. Sooooo , lets see ..we got a guy with a political past, but he has a populist message and goddess love him he is willing to challenge clinton. What is truly frightful..is that too many women , yes gals you, and i am female as well are just into Hill because she is a woman….It is truly distressing to see that many reacted to her “being ganged up on ” from a victim point of view VS what it was – Politics and a challenge to power.. Of course its about character, history, voting records etc..Its a dirty business.
I ask them don’t you hear her message, don’t you see her neo lib policies..remember the M.O. promise them anything…then do what you please. I will never forgive the Clintons, for buddying up with bushCo..for DOMA, for renditions that started under bill and surrvailence with Eschelon…this is part of history..and the then there is the whole…notion of the four yrs of endless clinton bashing should she get elected. Her as the dem candidate will bring out every RWNut ditto head from the wood work.. do not forget the branding of the so called liberal democrat by the thugs.. She will be a lightning round..and she will lead us to war. She has done nothing to stop it NOTHING and why …multiple reasons..but AIPAC ownership is a big one..and i wonder how much the defense dept is invested in her as well. Hey i love women , consider myself a feminist…but i am not putting someone in office for their genitals..If she is the dem candidate ….i will not vote at all – nope. not at all. Why , because that is not the lesser of two evils…that is pure EVIL. and a dynasty. That i cannot live with. And no i do not believe ANY democrat is better then any thug.. I used to, but i don’t anymore.
Edwards is honest, he would close Gitmo immediately. That kind of thinking leads to a chance at justice for the war crimes we have committed..He could begin to right the listing ship of state. The Constitution is my main concern. The poor, the average person out there. Edwards does honestly seem to have some genuine Altruism in him

Thank you, nyt, for taking this ball and running with it! You do a great service to us and our country.
Here is another Progressive (and truly wonderful) blog that has declared support for John Edwards:
http://fitnessfortheoccasion.wordpress.com/2007/10/30/blog-for-edwards/
Todd says it all. If we tune of out the media cheerleading for HRC, that she not only will win the primaries but the presidency as well, and look at the issues, then Edwards will have our votes.
It really is as simple as that.

When we all decided to ban together we all made a conscience effort to do a service to our country.
Thanks for the link. I went to fitness last night, I guess I missed that one. I will post it.

I have written an article on Collective Guilt and how none of us can escape it if we allow the Clinton machine to hijack the Democratic party. John Edwards is honest, refreshing, and willing to pull the troops out of Iraq. His social views match mine, and I am leaning strongly towards him. The more I see of him and read about him, the more I like him. So far my writings have been mainly towards not letting Hillary and the MSM fool the Democrats. In the days to come I will focus more on supporting Edwards and getting the word out. I think he is a winner and someone I would be proud to support. I have gone over the past year from being willing to vote any viable 3rd party to deprive a vote in what I came to believe was a one-party system, with the exception of Dodd or Kucinich, to now seeing that John Kerry is a viable Democratic option who is not part of the war machine or the big-lobby money machine. Excellent blog, by the way. Proud Progressive of some notes on Living steered me here.

Ooops,
I meant John Edwards, not John Kerry. I hope that if John Edwards is nominated he will do far more than Kerry did in making sure that every vote counts!

Pursey:
Thanks so much for stopping by. ProudP has recommended your site to me and I need to get over there, she is such a networker.
I am completely committed to Edwards. He is the only one who is standing up for what we are asking and demanding be done. He is the only one who can stop the Clinton machine of deception, lies and destruction.
Please provide me the link to your Edwards post so I can include it next week. Thanks.

Pursy:
I knew who you meant. If Edwards was at the top of the Kerry ticket he would have demanded a full count in Ohio.

i gotta say i am really enjoying the links NY you got above..they are helping me clarify further. Some great posts i would have missed completely…and i am so wobbly. Its great to read these specifics of Edwards Platform by these great writers..He has some baggage…not a one of em doesn’t – but there is something in him that is sincere. Imagine ,honesty and intergrity…could it be possible. And a smack down that would go with it – a real challenge to power from within. He is pretty damn close to Dennis in a frankly more electable positition..just the hard facts.

ProudP:
I’m glad the links are giving you an expanded picture of Edwards. Baggage, well every American has baggage, after all we are a dysfunctional country. However, Edwards baggage is far liter than Clinton’s.

Here’s a blogger from Georgia that is actively involved with the Edwards campaign. Amy is a tireless worker for Georgia Democrats and womens issues. And she’s made it clear long ago that she wants to see Edwards in the White House in Jan. of 2009.

Hey Girl,
You just made REUTERS!
November 2nd, 2007 at 4:13 pm
Mirth:
Man that’s great!!!! I am trying to figure out how to fix the link. It whacked out the comment section
November 2nd, 2007 at 4:19 pm
Ok I had to go against my rule of not editing comments and delete the original link that Mirth was so kind to tell us about. The Reuters link was four lines long, it completely whacked out the comment section and the left side bar.
So here’s how to get to Reuters reposting of this post
http://www.reuters.com/news/politics
scroll down to “2008 Presidential Campaign Blog Posts ”
click on:

BlueBloggin

Mirth:
Small voices can be heard and we have to keep at it.
You have me so jazzed about this I don’t think I can sleep this weekend.
