Blackwater Will Get An Immunity Deal
Bush stamps his foot because Congress is spending too much time on investigation and hearings; well this is why. This administration is a rouge government who will stop at nothing to continue their corruption, profiteering and continued cover ups.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A grant of limited immunity by State Department investigators to Blackwater security guards accused of killing 17 Iraqis last month could complicate efforts to bring charges against them, U.S. government officials said on Tuesday.
The officials confirmed media reports that State Department investigators had given limited immunity protecting Blackwater guards’ statements from being used against them.
But the officials said the guards could still be subject to prosecution using other evidence in the probe into the Sept 16 incident, which is now being led by the FBI.
“They have to reconstruct the case around (avoiding) the statements,” that had already been given, a government official said.
Another official said the FBI investigators had not known of the immunity provisions. “Law enforcement said they didn’t know what DSI (the State Department’s Department of Special Investigations) was doing on the ground,” he said.

I posted the text from the immunity agreement on tonight’s entry if you’re interested. It’s pretty lame.
How can anyone not think accepting an immunity agreement in this case is an implication of wrongdoing? I just don’t get it.

Ya know..they did this immunity crap on purpose..BushCo has never wanted Blackwater to have any ‘fallout’ from their dastardly deeds..as witnessed by his decree that they were above the law when they landed in Iraq. Even OUR soldiers are not above the law.
People should be outraged by this..and not buy into the bs that no one knows who or why it was done..
A new ‘travesty’ will surface so this one will get pushed under the rug..like all the rest.

Anyone and any organization associated with this corrupt administration will be exempt and pardon of all their criminal behavior. Bush and Cheney think they are above the law and have granted that arrogance to their friends.
Someday Congress will wake up an remember their oath to uphold the Constitution.

Thanks for the link.
Bush and his gang of crooks are never guilt of wrong doing no matter how much evidence you have against them. Bush and his religious fanatic friends have set a new standard for Christianity; lie cheat, steal and murder.

nytexan..as witnessed by the bill BushCo is trying to push through that will exempt the Telco’s from prosecution for giving them our info without a warrant or due process. If they haven’t done anything wrong..why the fuss?
Because they have broken the law, thats why. Harry Reid can kiss my big behind..I hope that sumbitch gets voted out of office and I will do what I can to insure that.

Reid and Pelosi are such a disappointment. Both of them have forgotten the oath they took to uphold the Constitution. It appears to me that both of them are happy with the way Washington works. What’s the pay off for them? They both continue to embolden Bush and his gang of criminals.

NyTexan..your much to kind in your assessment that they are a “disappointment”. They should be charged with treason for all they have done to aid and abet BushCo’s systematic destruction of our Constitution.
Man, I got my panties in a bunch today don’t I? LOL

Actually I have 5 kitten climbing on me all day so its hard to get angry at anyone with these fur balls entertaining me.
While we are on the treason topic, the 108th and 109th Congress need to be tried for treason along with Pelosi, Reid, Bush&Co.

I have..12…count em..12 cats that drive me crazy. All rescued as feral kittens. They do make my day, but usually they are sleeping during the day and driving me nuts at night
After 12 years of the Rethugs having a stranglehold on Congress, I am just glad they lost their collective asses in the Nov election..although it doesn’t seem to have made much difference does it?
Damn it!

The republicans and the Bush Dog Democrats all need to go.
Call me crazy but I traded a 10 week old puppy for the kittens. At least they potty where they’re suppose to.

I will take a kitten over a puppy any day. Love those lil guys. But finally I have all the females spayed..so the two kittens will be the last!
Ferals are so loving..they follow me around the house like dogs!
