John Cornyn Needs To Move On
This, of course is in direct response to the MoveOn.org/New York Times ad about “Gen. Betrayus”, Cornyn needs to move on. Cornyn who is the mouth piece for the White House and who have also condemned the MoveOn.org ad, finds this important and necessary to waste taxpayer dollars on the Senate floor.
I find this one sided and bull shit posturing by the GOP. I have not seen the GOP pass an amendment against Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Rielly and the rest of the right wing bottom feeders.
Cornyn is trying to attach this amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008;
- To authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2008 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes.
Senator do nothing Cornyn sees this as an important amendment when he has voted No against bills that would benefit:
AmericansHonest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007: Vote Agreed to (83-14)
The Senate passed this bill that would provide greater transparency in the legislative process. Sen. John Cornyn voted No
Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007: Vote Passed (68-31)
The Senate passed this bill that would add 3 million lower-income children to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.Sen. John Cornyn voted No
Dorgan Amendment-Bringing Osama bin Laden and Other Leaders of al Qaeda to Justice Vote Agreed to (87-1, 12 )
This amendment to the defense authorization bill calls for quarterly classified reports on the Bush administration’s work to capture al Qaeda leaders.Sen. John Cornyn voted Not Voting
Boarder Fence Construction. Sen. John Cornyn voted Yes
I have posted in the past on how the boarder fence in Texas will destroy families, the environment, economy in the valley to say the least. FOr Texans this is a negative vote for Cornyn.
Employee Free Choice Act - Vote Rejected (51-48)
The Senate did not have the necessary 60 votes to close debate and proceed to a vote on this labor bill, which would allow workers to form unions by signing union cards rather than by secret ballot elections.Sen. John Cornyn voted No
CLEAN Energy Act of 2007 - Vote Passed (65-27)The Senate passed the first energy bill under the new Democratic majority. Sen. John Cornyn voted No
Sen. John Cornyn’s priorities and loyalty are to Bush, the administration and not to his constituents. Well John, you’ll soon be hitting the dusty trail with George carrying the disgraceful record that you have compiled.

I saw his draft this morning and if I were him I’d be ashamed to make claim to creating it.
The quality of a high school student, that’s how I read it.
It looked to me that he was in such a rush to make the news that he never gave any kind of thought on how his proclamation will most likely make it way into the Federal Register and be an embarrassment to every Texan for many years.
When will the people of Texas wake up and cast out these elected fools that only harm the people of Texas.

Cornyn is an embarrassment for more than an this amendment. Texas are trying to get his worthless behind out of Congress.
Cornyn will do anything the White House wants him to, no matter how foolish he looks or comes across.
