In an effort to help our friend get veterans’ survivor benefits after the death of her husband, BossKitty decided to e-mail our representative and both Senators. Much to my surprise an email reply came from Cornyn within two days. Unfortunately it was an auto reply, you know the kind “don’t reply to this email” typical Cornyn.

This evening another email came from Cornyn it caught my attention because it was personalized. I was interested to see if he would actually help someone he represents. Silly me, it was his freaking itinerary of his recent campaign stops!

Here are the first sentences of each paragraph from Senator do nothing Cornyn’s email:

• U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, was in El Paso Wednesday, August 29

• SAN ANTONIO—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn today visited San Antonio and met with local law enforcement.

• Sen. John Cornyn, ranking member of the Senate Immigration, Border Security and Refugees subcommittee, visited Laredo

• Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, was in Galveston Monday, Aug. 20

I could care less if Cornyn went to off a bridge. However, it’s nice to see him trying to save his sorry behind on the campaign trail.

I guess it should not come as a surprise to anyone that Cornyn is again consumed with Cornyn and not the Texans he represents. No surprise that he is eighth on the endangered GOP list.

By the way Kay Bailey Hutchinson has still not replied. I realize that’s a shock to you, but she must be busy doing non constituent things.
