Over the past few years, Americans have come to realize that Bush lies, spins information and ignores valuable information to promote his own agenda. Of course here in
Texas, we were very familiar with his ability to lie. With that said why does anyone pay attention or give any credit to what Bush has to say? It can’t be out of respect for the office he holds, because Bush has already disgraced that office.
Next week, General Petraeus will produce Iraq report, we already know that the White House is spinning the reality of the war. We know from recent books that Bush has no intention of brining the troop’s home, we know that he intends on passing it to the next president. Bush has states that he is the decider, the commander in chief, and look at what a fine job he’s done. So what difference the Petraeus report make? No difference. The troops will still be in Iraq, Congress will continue to fund the war and Bush will have his way.
Bush has recently said that “we are kicking ass”, I don’t think it’s in Iraq, I think it’s in Congress. How does this happen you wonder, the main problem is not what we already know about our dishonest president, the main problem is our spineless Congress. Pelosi and Reid’s tired excuse that they don’t have enough votes on Iraq doesn’t mean that they can’t put up a fight. Look at the GOP they’re in the minority and they manage to stop progress everyday.
The simple answer is the Democratic leadership does not have the stomach or the spine to stand up top Bush. Neither Pelosi nor Reid seems to be pushing anyone in the minority in their direction. Heck during the break a few democrats in Congress have turned in the other direction and now see progress in Iraq.
Pelosi and Reid have turned Congress into the lame duck. Bush stamps his foot and they run. Poor leadership in Congress will not get the troops home. Poor leadership in Congress will not stop the maniacs in the White House. Poor leadership in Congress will only accomplish what Bush wants.
So what does it matter? It’s all sound bits for the MSM and pundits to replay at nausea for a week. More troops will die, more Iraqi civilians will die and progress will still be lied about. Nothing has changed since this time last year only the names of the leadership in Congress.

I know I sound like a broken record. I know you all are tired of reading me write this. But I just don’t see the dems as spineless and I really think that the dems WANT to continue this war. They want to keep our young people in uniform over there, fighting, killing and dying, but they want all the blame to fall on the repubs. Both the two parties of the apocalypse are to blame for the war. They are in cahoots!

Clapso:
I fully agree with you that the dems don’t want to do anything. They have allowed the GOP to stay in control. If they had any intention of stopping this war they would stand up to Bush. They are spineless with poor leadership.
