The Architect’s House Of Cards Falls Down - Not Soon Enough
Rove ‘more dangerous’ on the outside
Karl Rove may be leaving his roles as hard-nosed strategist and bookish policy expert in the Bush White House, but that doesn’t mean Democrats can rest easy.
“Karl outside the White House is more dangerous to Democrats than Karl inside the White House,” said Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who was Al Gore’s campaign manager. Her view: He’ll have lots more free time now to dream up ways to boost President Bush’s standing, “rebrand” the GOP and conquer the 2008 electoral map.
Though Rove says he is not about to vanish from politics, the debate over the legacy of his unique dual role has begun. Some say he personifies the need to limit the power of White House political aides; others say he’s a model future presidents may want to emulate.
Rove is the epitome of intellect applied to evil goals … Rove incited Republicans into more unscrupulous behavior than they could have imagined on their own . . . He will remain the poster boy for political corruption until someone has the guts to indict him.

Too bad the brilliant dem “strategists” did figure out that if they impeached the bush crime family and end the war, they would win BIG in 2008. Those kooky dems, nobody snatches defeat from the jaws of victory like the dems!
Glad to see the roverat flee the sinking ship!

ClapSo, you might have forgotten that we live in a democracy. Yes, we have a slim majority in Congress, but there are still plenty of republicans out there trying to block everything we do. We can’t just snap our fingers and change the world.

Kip:
I agree with you. Also the more I think about impeachment the more I think we should wait until they are out of office for criminal charges.
If they are impeached the just get to leave and go home. The only punishment they get it that they can never hold office again and they can not be tried by a jury or charged or imprisoned. Its just becomes a disgrace and a slap on the wrist. If they are out of office they can be prosecuted in a court with a full jury and prisoned.

First, to end the war the dems need do nothing. The repubs can’t “block” the dems from not doing anything. The nothing I refer to is not bringing ANY spending bill to the floor for a vote that contains ANY FUNDING for the war. That would end the war in months.
Second, while the dems are refusing to continue to fund the war, they also bring articles of impeachment against the entire bush crime family. Even if it fails to remove them from office, it keeps the criminals heads down so the fight to end the war goes fast. The dems hould have done this first thing January last.
Third, the bush crime family is gonna give themselves BLANKET PRESIDENTIAL PARDONS on the way out. They will not be tried once they leave.
Forth, the reason why the war continues is because the dems intend to continue it even after the 2008 election. The proof will come when the dems budget billions of dollars for the war in the FY2008 budget. This will mean that the war will be funded until Sept 2009!
Go ahead, continue to support the dems if you think that’s the right thing to do. Don’t say I didn’t worn ya come post 2008 election when the war rages on, the economy is in the dumper, and the dems in power are just as bad as the bush crime family…

I agree that the dems should do nothing and that would stop finding the war. They seem to be more afraid of what th republicans will say about them in the press then they are about how we are going to vote them out in ‘08.
I am not in favor of what the dems are doing. I am looking at an alternative to their do nothing on impeachment.

Best comment I’ve read today. It can’t be said better than you did.
Tell me, Kip152: Was it the mean ol’ obstructionist Republicans who forced the Dem vote to further weaken FISA?
August 14th, 2007 at 7:57 pm
Mirth:
You really have to scratch your head and smack the dems for the FISA bills. Bush and Rove must have had some really good tapes on them. Even thought its a six month bill, Bush and Gonzo can do a lot of damage in six months.

If you add that since the dems took control of both houses in Jan. 2008:
The bush crime family has given itself even MORE power
There are now MORE us troops in Iraq then their were before the dems took both houses
The idiots have budgeted even MORE money for the failed war
Hell, the list goes on and on…
The dems and repubs are in cahoots! Out with the bunch of em!
