American Taxpayers Rent Pakistan’s Army

US renting Pak army for $ 100 million a month

WASHINGTON: The United States is paying around $ 100 million a month for the deployment of 80,000 Pakistani troops on its border with Afghanistan ostensibly for the war on terrorism, a key US official revealed on Thursday.

The money is meant to be “reimbursements” to Pakistan “for stationing troops and moving them around, and gasoline, and bullets, and training and other costs that they incur as part of the war on terror,” US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher, told a Congressional panel.

“That’s a lot of money,” Boucher admitted before the panel about what amounts to a $ 1.2 billion per year reimbursement. “I don’t know if it comes to the whole amount of their expenses, but we support their expenses, yes.”

When do American Taxpayers get a voice in the spending of the Billion$ on hiring mercenaries and armies in other countries?

How many Billion$ would it cost to provide decent health care for our own country? If there is a trade off here, I don’t see it. If and when THEY sneak over to the US to attack, our piss poor health care will finish us off without THEM lifting a finger. Why should THEY even bother attacking US when the US Administration has done their job for them?

By the time Bush gets through emaciating our military and screwing our veterans, we will HAVE to import our soldiers from private contractors and other countries. King George’s Armageddon Envy is very tiresome, when do WE get a voice? After all WE are paying the bills!

Another stone on the heaping mountains of stones.

We taxpayers have no representation and while this filthy administration will be gone in Jan ‘09 and there isn’t a damn thing we can do about them now, two months before they leave DC we can vote their enablers from office.

    Nicely done, bosskitty.

Mirth, taxpayers have power and don’t use it! Taxpayers contribute to their elected officials and pay their wages – yet they don’t use the voice they pay for. Taxpayers pay penalties and interest at 8% for under estimating the taxes they owe on the privilege of earning wages in this country. (Was that sentence too long?)
I do not lawfully advocate non-payment of taxes … but, adding a letter of protest to your tax return will be noted. Be prepared to be labeled a tax protester … but, these numbers add up and will get the attention of your elected noise maker.

Dammit each day a further layer of outrageous activity exposed. And the MSM – not a freekin peep. We sorely need them to as John Lennon said : “Just gimme some truth, all i want is the truth” All this is borrowed money too, its no wonder our basic social programs have been decaying. And cynically put onto the private sector. – newsflash the private sector us folks are doing all we can to keep our own households above water. grr it just makes me sick. Bosskitty your coverage, gathering of this information is second to none. Really ! Great Job. Don’t Quit – Rest if you must be don’t quit.
